Our Vacation Courses are available during April, July and August. The course which also can be booked out of season for closed groups is aimed at all ages. Parents with juniors and/or teens 13 + can attend the relevant vacation course secure in the knowledge that all their children are fully catered for and supervised, so they are able to relax and concentrate on their own studies.

Other adults/ mature students are all welcome to join the Vacation Course.

Tuition is in groups of a maximum of 15 students at all levels of English from Elementary to Advanced. Students are placed into a class appropriate to their level. The course covers all skills; speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as improving grammar and vocabulary and developing students' communicative abilities.

The social programme includes three afternoon activities, three evening activities and a full day excursion every week. Students have a range of activities, such as sport which includes swimming, football, basketball and tennis. Cultural visits to places of local interest including museum visits, fun activities such as quiz nights, treasure hunts, ghost walks, barbecue evenings, cinema and the ever popular school disco. Full day excursions are to local places of interest such as the historical city of York, the countryside and villages of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and the busy city of Hull. All of these activities are included in the course fee but we do also offer optional excursions to London, Edinburgh, Flamingo Land and many other different places of interest at an extra cost. Weekend excursions for groups should be booked in advance of arrival.

Junior Vacation - Monday 5th July & Friday 13th August only Children (7-12 years) with accompanying adults (over 18 years). 15 hours tuition, social programme which includes 3 afternoon activities and a full day mid-week excursion. Children (7-12 years) attend separate classes which are specially designed for young learners and they also have a separate programme of supervised activities in the afternoons. They are together with all other students on the full day excursion.
