The teachers' course is an opportunity to update and brush up on skills and areas of interest. We use a problem solving / workshop approach, encouraging professionals to work together, sharing their knowledge and experience.

When they book the course, teachers are asked to grade a number of different possible areas of interest, and the course is developed on the basis of the needs and interests expressed. This means that there is less chance of teachers spending time on topics that are of little or no interest for them.

The topic areas include:

• Approaches to teaching reading
• Pronunciation
• Improving listening skills
• Teaching grammar
• Materials development
• British Institutions
• Introduction to Discourse Analysis

We also ask teachers to add any topics which are of particular interest to them, and we try to include these in the course where possible.

Many teachers find that talking informally with other teachers is rewarding in itself, with a chance to find out about other systems and methods in other countries. The course is also an opportunity to make use of the experience of our teachers and the wide range of facilities available to them.

This Course comprises general English tuition in a group, according to your level, each morning Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm, including a 20 minute break. This will give you an opportunity to update, consolidate and generally improve your knowledge of English. As well as being able to observe the teachers' methods and use some of the latest course books, you will be able to experience being a student again.

Please be sure to attach a letter to your application form, stating clearly what your special needs are.

Teachers courses can be very flexible in accordance with your needs. Besides the above combination course we are happy to offer closed groups for Teachers on a 20 hours per week(mornings only) 9-1 or 28 hours per week 9-1 Monday to Friday, and 2-4 Monday to Thursday.
