These courses raise the student’s English to the required level for the chosen examination and also include specific examination practice. Target Audience: English for Professional and Academic purposes and for those seeking a place in Higher Education in the UK. Duration: 8 or 12 weeks Language Level Required: Minimum Intermediate level for FCE, Upper Intermediate for CAE, Advanced level for CPE. A General English Course can be done prior to the examination course to bring you up to the appropriate level if required. All students will be tested on arrival. Learning Outcomes: Students should be able to communicate more accurately in past, present and future tenses, with a deeper understanding of modal verbs, prepositions and phrasal verbs as appropriate to level. Development of the four skills, reading, writing listening and speaking. Course Content: A course book designed for the preparation of the chosen exam will be used, with supplementary materials as necessary. Specific examination guidance and practice will be given, with up to date materials, as well as Self-Access facility. Commencement Dates and Cost for 10/12 weeks Package with 28 hours per week including breaks and use of Self Access Centre.
