Accommodation
Accommodation is a very significant part of a student's overall stay in Britain which is why we take great care when arranging or recommending accommodation for our students.
The vast majority of our students choose homestay accommodation for the insight it gives into the British way of life, the comfortable and friendly environment it offers and, of course, the benefits of being able to continually practise the English skills developed at school in real life situations.
However, we understand that some students may wish to be more independent and stay in private accommodation. As Scarborough is an extremely popular destination for tourists there is a vast range of accommodation choices to suit individual tastes and budgets.
Homestay Accommodation
There are numerous advantages to staying in Homestay Accommodation. You will be treated as a member of the family and will have the opportunity to experience British culture first hand. If you would like to enjoy these benefits then Homestay Accommodation is the perfect choice for you.
Hotels
As a seaside resort Scarborough offers a whole range of hotels to suit all needs and budgets. From luxury 4 star establishments with full spa facilities to friendly, family-run one star accommodation. Hotels are licensed, offer dinner and have all rooms en suite or with private bathrooms.
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
If you would like to experience a family atmosphere but still have the freedom offered by independent living, bed and breakfast accommodation could be the best choice for you. Bed and breakfast establishments are personally run by the owner, providing single, double and family rooms and offering the choice of shared or private bathroom facilities.
Self Catering Accommodation
For total freedom and independence there is the option of renting your own house or apartment. The Yorkshire Coast is a popular holiday destination and so benefits from a vast range of self catering accommodation. A farmhouse, a mariner’s cottage or a modern city-living style apartment? The choice is yours!

Pancake Day
21st February, 2012
We took our students down to the Foreshore in the afternoon to let them experience how Shrove Tuesday is celebrated in the traditional Scarborough way – skipping on the beach. It is believed that its origins lie in the local fishermen sorting their ropes and nets out at this time of year – they would give the children the ones which were no good for fishing. An afternoon of physical exertion was finished off with some well-earned fish'n'chips on the seafront.

In comparison with one of London’s schools (where I spent learning English three weeks as well) they are much more friendly and ready to help with any questions.
